Landslides & Geological Hazards
India is among the world’s most disaster-prone countries. Geological hazards, such as landslides, rockfalls, and subsidence, severely affect hilly regions in the Himalayas, Western Ghats, and northeastern states. Despite early warning systems and NDMA guidelines, community preparedness and risk perception remain low. This capstone encourages students to bridge this gap by creating a gamified learning experience that helps citizens and authorities reflect on their preparedness levels and progress toward the SENDAI framework targets.
