Why play?
Play is an essential part of the learning process throughout life and should not be neglected. As educators, the challenge is to foster motivation to learn, skill, solve problems, attitude to learn life-long and stay relevant in AI-dominant future through active play, and to recognise that play has an important cognitive role in all aforementioned areas.

ENVS102: DISASTERS - Natural and Man-made
Over the last decade, the intensity and frequency of disasters worldwide have been increasing. This foundational course at FLAME University focuses on understanding the causes, risks, consequences, vulnerabilities for various natural and man-made disasters. Furthermore, students develop critical observation, analyze real-world challenges, anticipate hazardous future scenarios, solve problems through applied creativity, and thus contribute to overall disaster risk reduction.
CSIT122 : Introduction to Internet of Things
With the integration of Internet of Things (IoT), industries, healthcare, transportation, buildings and cities, have a significant edge to rapidly evolve into efficient, safe, reliable, smart and sustainable urban systems.
This foundational course at FLAME University focuses on developing a critical understanding of the basics of an IoT system design (the science of electronics) and engineering (the art of tinkering hands-on) lifecycle for anyone and everyone who has the curiosity irrespective of one's background. The goal of this course is to develop the confidence among youth to not shy away from STEM rather embrace it with love.
KUDOS Projects
Creative gamified tools designed and developed at KUDOS aim to blur the boundaries and break the walls between disciplines to reimagine and shape future cities - one that is sustainable, just, and resilient. Projects push the frontier of inter and multidisciplinary studies; develops several 21st century skills and competencies required to thrive in the VUCA environment.

Dr Balaji Kalluri
A systems engineer and urban scientist by training, a social worker by heart, and a passionate educator by profession. With over 15 years of professional experience, he is a seasoned multi-disciplinary urban futurist, focused on investigating and addressing some of the hardest and most complex socio-technical challenges of the millennium, vis-à-vis climate change, technological disruption, and urbanization.
